About Us

This private reference site explains where Hawaiʻi arrest records and booking photos may be found. County police agencies publish different logs, while the Hawaiʻi Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation handles state custody and the Judiciary records court events. This site links visitors to those official sources and hosts no booking-photo gallery or government record.

How the Hawaii Record Path Works

Hawaiʻi does not have one statewide arrest-photo database. Honolulu, Hawaiʻi County, and Kauaʻi publish adult arrest information through dated reports. Maui and Kalawao use more direct police-records and state-custody routes. Each county police agency creates the local arrest record, and it may hold a booking photograph even when the public log has none.

The Hawaiʻi Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation tracks custody and parole events through SAVIN/VINELink. It does not offer a general public offender-photo profile. The Judiciary records case activity and disposition after arrest. This site brings those statewide paths together and links to each county's local pages, but it is not the source or custodian of any record.

Records and Sources Covered

The statewide pages focus on official record types and the limits of each one:

  • The home page brings together county arrest logs, booking-record fields, UIPA requests, court records, custody systems, and federal locators.
  • The County Directory routes visitors to Hawaiʻi County, Honolulu, Kalawao, Kauaʻi, and Maui records pages.
  • The DCR page explains the SAVIN/VINELink custody search and why it is not a public booking-photo lookup.
  • Statewide law and archive pages explain public access, expungement, retention schedules, and historical finding aids.

Limits of a Private Reference Site

Hawaii Busted Mugshots is privately operated and has no affiliation with a Hawaiʻi police department, sheriff, jail, corrections agency, or other government body. It cannot release or transfer a person, confirm current custody, or retrieve an official record.

  • It cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds to a person in custody.
  • It cannot act as a lawyer or advise on a charge, warrant, or expungement request.
  • It cannot promise that an outside agency's hours, fees, or online record will remain the same.

Only the police agency, DCR, or other office holding the record can confirm its current status. An online log may lag behind a release or transfer.

Search Partner Disclosure

Some search boxes are supplied by outside partners. Those providers set their own prices, terms, and results. If a visitor follows a partner link and signs up for a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee. That fee helps support the site, but it does not give the operator control over the partner's search or guarantee a result.
