Search Box Entries
A name, location, or other text entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. Hawaii Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms explain how it handles the query after it leaves this site.
Messages and Contact Requests
If you send an email or contact message, the information in it is kept so the operator can read and answer it. It is not shared beyond the organization unless a service needed to handle the message or a legal requirement calls for that disclosure.
Technical Data and Cookies
When a page loads, standard server and analytics tools may record technical details such as:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on each;
- the referring website, when supplied; and
- page-access dates and times.
Cookie Use

Advertising partners may track activity across sites on their own systems to select or measure ads. Their tracking is governed by their terms and settings, not by this site's controls.
Who May Receive Information
The operator does not sell personal messages or search terms. Information may reach the following service providers or recipients when needed:
- search providers that process a query;
- analytics vendors that measure site use;
- advertising networks that serve or measure ads; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.
Security Limits
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information held by the site. No internet-connected system is fully secure, however, and no method can promise protection against every loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent information may ask the operator to remove it.
Your Choices
You may contact the operator to ask what information it holds or request a change where it can act on the data:

- request a correction to a message or contact detail;
- ask for deletion of a message held by the operator; or
- ask how to limit a use that is within the operator's control.
Search providers and advertising services manage information held in their own systems. Requests about their records must go to those providers.
