Hawaii Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, retrieve official records, provide or remove booking photos, or post bond. Contact the agency that created or now holds the record.
Find the Hawaii Records Office
The right office depends on the arresting county and the record type. Start with the official county route, then use DCR for state custody, the Judiciary for a case file, or the federal locator for federal or immigration custody. The County Directory links to each county's local arrest and records pages.
- Honolulu Police Department: use its adult arrest-log index for recent entries and its photo-release policy for a photo request.
- Hawaiʻi Police Department: use the booking-log page or its police-report request route.
- Kauaʻi Police Department: start with its daily arrest-log page; contact KPD Records for a report or photo request.
- Maui Police Department: contact the Records Section for records or the Receiving Desk for its central booking role. Kalawao County uses Maui and state channels.
- State custody or a DCR record: use Hawaiʻi SAVIN for status notifications or see DCR's public contact list. DCR's listed Office of the Director is at 1177 Alakea Street, Honolulu; phone (808) 587-1288.
- Court, conviction, or federal record: use eCourt Kōkua/JIMS, HCJDC, the BOP Inmate Locator, or the ICE detainee locator, as appropriate.
For help understanding a UIPA request, contact the Office of Information Practices. OIP explains request steps and access rules; the record request itself goes to the agency that holds the material.
